Write Articles To Build Your Home Based Business

December 31, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

To beef up your income, there are 4 changes you can make to your home based business.

ONE: ATTRACT ADDITIONAL CUSTOMERS

This is often the FIRST goal of business - to find more first time buyers, but there are other revenue boosters and business builders so we will spend more time on them in this article.

But first two important questions for you:

Do you have a Customer Upgrade Path?

Do you have a Business Development Strategy?

These two business management tools could make a powerful difference to the income you derive from your home business.

TWO: INCREASE YOUR PRICES

After you raise the price, monitor the results to see if your overall revenue has increased. That can happen even with fewer sales. By selling at a higher per-unit price, your total income may increase even if you sell fewer units. And surprisingly sometimes you will move more stock after you raise the price. Seems odd… until you realize that people often assess the quality of a product by its price tag.

There are 2 ways to monitor the results but in both cases you will need to create a second web page that is identical in every respect except for the price and the tracking code.

1) If you are buying PPC (pay per click) traffic, send an equal volume of traffic to both offers and see what happens.

2) If instead of buying traffic, you are using articles and ezine ads to bring your visitors, you can put a counter (statcounter.com provides invisible counters for free) so you have the numbers you need to do the comparisons later.

THREE: ADD NEW PRODUCTS TO YOUR RANGE

Over a period of time, add more products to your inventory. These would be quality products (always sell quality products - nothing else) that solve other problems that your customers have.

The rationale behind this is that when you sell one of your quality products to a customer, you have started to establish a good reputation with that buyer. This gives you the edge in providing solutions to other business problems he or she may have.

What else do your customers need? Try brainstorming. Or survey them.

Develop your own customer upgrade path.

FOUR: ATTRACT MORE PROSPECTS VIA ARTICLE MARKETING

You will probably have heard or read that article marketing works. And by this, I mean that writing and distributing articles to promote or publicize your company.

Article marketing is a way to turn your words into profits. Article profits, no less.

But exactly how to do this?

Wouldn’t it be nice to sit on the shoulder of a successful exponent of this valuable skill?

Well, if you are looking for street-smart article marketing training that is do-able as well as comprehensive, Dylan Loh’s Secret Article Profits is worth considering.

He’s produced a 42 page report that presents clever techniques that I’ve never read anywhere else. And they are certainly working for this young guy from Singapore.

He takes you through the whole process, including:

* Find a market.

* Find a product that matches your target niche.

* Research your keywords. Dylan’s tactics would have to be a significant part of the reason he’s been so successful so quickly. These easy-to-do strategies are enough to make the difference if you’ve had lousy results from your article writing efforts so far.

The thing about article writing when you do it right is that each article you get published becomes a potential stream of passive income. Set it up once and it can help build your home business for a long time. That’s the appeal that article writing has – you can earn passive income by leveraging the huge market reach of online giants like Google, EzineArticles.com and the other top 4 article directories that Dylan uses and recommends.

How To Find Buying Network Marketers Online

December 28, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Any network marketing advertising review today must center around the internet. That is, unless you can promote your offer online then the chances are you will be leaving massive lost opportunity on the table.

Keyword research is a little understood process by network marketers going online and looking for targeted prospects. The lack of training is one reason for this and in this article, you will learn a simple tactic which will help you find the best keywords to target.

For example, network marketing is a broad term and highly competitive. If you are writing an article around this term for the web then it’s unlikely you’ll make much of an impact simply because you will have millions of competitors.

Keyword Modifiers

Keyword modifiers are words you can add to broad terms to make them more long tail and more importantly, more targeted. For example, add review to network marketing and suddenly you reduce your competition from tens of millions to under two million searches. Much easier to rank for.

Add the word tips to this phrase and you come up with network marketing review tips and suddenly the search count drops to half a million and your chances of ranking for this phrase further increases. But the key here is somebody typing this phrase into a search engine is more likely in more of a buying mood than some just typing in network marketing.

Attraction Marketing Tips

The attraction marketing process is the key to getting prospects to find your online real estate and your network marketing based opportunity.

We spoke about you being the solutions provider and that’s what you are. When people go looking online for answers relating to a network marketing based opportunity they will use the exact phrase to locate the information.

What you’re doing is acting as a conduit and connecting between what they need with their search term and providing the information they are looking for.

The keyword aspect of attraction marketing is vital. Unless you are properly optimizing your sites and using keywords effectively such as in the title, several times in the content and in your resource boxes then you will be fighting an uphill battle attracting people to your site.

People generally go online looking for answers and solutions and when you optimize for a variety of terms then you broaden your chances of capturing these prospects. But remember, make sure your content is quality and satisfies the visitor. If you are what’s called keyword stuffing your content will be flagged and dispatched from the search index.

ReBranded Public Domain Affiliate Reports With PDF Brander Pro

December 27, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… It Does! You have figured out that plundering the Public Domain for interesting content and using that great content to fill your blogs and Special Reports with information your readers want… Is a really great idea.

Now you can give your affiliates those Special Reports in an easily Rebrandable format… and have your reports filling in boxes everywhere!

In fact… the easiest way to make some quick cash - right now - would be to take all the Public Domain Magazine issues and rebrand them with your affiliate code - then send them out to your subscriber list or just to a few friends who might be looking for ways to increase their productivity.

Click here to get PDF Brander Pro

We use PDF Brander Pro to give you the tools to easily whip these magazines into a Viral Frenzy! :)

If you have an affiliate program, it is wise choice to make the options available to your affiliates as simple as possible.

One such option is brandable reports, ebooks, etc. You will find that the old way of branding via Word, is just too much with the age of PDFs. It is too much work for you and too much work you affiliates. That equals less money for everyone and your product may fail at making the sales you desire.

The bottom line when it comes to branding is that affiliates hate complexity - and many affiliates just give up on branding PDF files as soon as they see the complicated branding software. This of course undermines your whole promotion strategy, which relies on lots of affiliates branding your ebook with their affiliate links.

Now there’s an alternative inexpensive branding technology which offers a quick and easy, foolproof solution for branding your PDF files.

The PDF Brander Pro software uses a brand new method of PDF branding, which works by creating special “branding packages” for your ebooks.

It is so simple to use.

All your affiliates have to do is download your branding package, double-click on it and then fill in their details, one item at a time, following clear and simple instructions.

As soon as they have entered all the necessary details, the branding package generates and saves a complete, ready to use, branded PDF file onto their PC.

Branding a PDF file doesn’t get any easier than this!

Handy Time Management Strategies For Article Content

December 27, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

When you’re new at home business, you are pressed for time. There is so much to do and so much to learn.

The last thing you need is to be inefficient with the way you spend your time. And yet the problem is… you are new to this game. You have not been in home based business before this so everything is new. There is much to be learned, many mountains to climb. Or so it seems.

In this article I would like to help you with a few handy time management strategies to help you achieve more in the same amount of time.

GET TRIPLE USE OUT OF EVERYTHING YOU WRITE - HERE’S HOW

One efficiency you can easily implement is to get triple usage out of every article you write. The purpose of this short article is to highlight some ways to do that.

The last thing you need is to have to write every single item from scratch, especially when you have your own unique material that you have already written that you could easily draft into extra service.

Some personal efficiency experts talk about this as “repurposing” your work. That is, using it again for a different purpose.

I call it getting “more miles per word” - which is like MPG with your car. That’s Miles Per Gallon, if you’re wondering.

With a few simple tricks that I can show you, you really can get more MPG out of every article or letter or email that you write.

We won’t talk about how to write articles now. I’ve covered that elsewhere and will return to it again and again because of its importance.

What we will talk about is how to get maximum mileage from the time you spend banging away at the keyboard.

THREE USES FOR YOUR ARTICLES

Use #1. Submit your original content to one of the online article directories.

Use #2. Include the article as a chapter in an ebook or a report.

Use #3. Paste your article into one of your autoresponders.

TIP: Keep a copy of what you write in an Articles folder on your computer – you never know when you will be searching for content to re-use. A small amount of editing could create a new piece.

If you don’t mind doing a little article re-writing (so that all your published content is unique, so you avoid any duplicate content penalties), here are 2 more uses.

Use #4. Turn the revised article into a page at your website.

Use #5. Use the reworked content for one or more blog posts. It might be possible to cut the article into several shorter blog posts.

ANOTHER GREAT IDEA

When one of your subscribers writes to you with a question, ask yourself if this is the kind of question that others would also be interested in. If so, you might write a slightly longer reply with the clear intention of getting multiple use from that one writing task.

There, that’s not 3 but 6 ways to get more miles from everything you have to write for your home business.

IF YOU ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR A HOME BUSINESS IDEA…

Make an Easy Profit with Public Domain Products

December 25, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Products and materials created prior to 1923 (and even up to 1978) are considered “in” the public domain.

These products can include art, music, written works and innovative ideas that have now become part of the common human culture. Once products cease to fall under proprietary and copyrighted material status, they are open for use by anyone for profitable purposes. (Always consult with a lawyer before using the product however to be sure that all original rights have expired before using the products for your own gain.)

There are a couple of great ways you can use products found on the public domain to make an easy profit.

Public Domain: Songs from the Wild Land

One excellent way is compiling a collection of copyright-free musical works and selling them as digital files to users of MP3 players. You can even translate these works into new compilations, such as dance tunes or mixes and sell them as your own copyrighted work.

Another method of re-using products found on the public domain is to locate old manuscripts and re-write or translate them in your own words. Selling them in collections to vendors who specialize in this type of written work can be a profitable venture. With a little imagination, you can create works adapted from others’ ideas and sell them as your own, with little investment other than time.

Vintage Label Art CD-ROM and Book (Full-Color Electronic Design Series)

Another interesting way to make an easy profit with public domain products is to find images of a nostalgic period and create labels. These labels can be used on health and beauty products, herbal products, or cleaning products that you can produce cheaply and sell to consumers.

A good example of this would be some of the products that are offered in the bigger bath and body shops who are packaged in antique glass bottles or have labels that look like they are from the Victorian age. These types of products are always popular.

The Altered Object: Techniques, Projects, Inspiration

Lastly, why not take public domain products and craft “altered art” with them? This is especially fun for creative types who enjoy making artwork or jewelry items.

Some examples might include charms that are made out of miniature images of old timey products or incredibly small metal pieces made to look like old fashioned utensils or vehicles.

You can even make special handmade items in the fashion of the past, like lace collars and other retro items to be worn by people today. These are actually very popular and can be made and sold quite easily for a nice profit.

Again, use your imagination and re-work ideas of the past by seeking out interesting and unusual products on the public domain.

5 Tips For Fast Network Marketing Business Growth

December 24, 2008 by Debra · 1 Comment

Most of the successful internet network marketers work to a plan or a system. That’s a fact yet when you hear this how do you respond to it. If there’s any of the internet network marketing tips you take notice when they are given to you make sure you listen to the idea of working to a system.

A system allows you to be more focused tackling each task on it’s individual merits without jumping around like a “jack in the box” from one project to the other. All this achieves is lots of unfinished tasks, lack of business growth and frustration for your downline as they try to pin you down for some commitment.

Organized chaos can be your worst enemy. When you start a task and finish it then that gives it the best chance to be productive for you. Many worry that they are not moving forward fast enough but the truth is, too many jobs left unfinished will simply wither away and die and the work and effort you put in to get them started will simply be wasted.

Internet MLM Tips

Let’s take a look aat an online business plan and highlight some of the tasks which can be productive for you. But remember to tackle them individually and not try to incorporate them all at the same time.

1. Article marketing is the easiest and most cost effective way to start your MLM promotions. But don’t start in a timid fashion. We suggest writing an article a day for the first ten days and then back it off to at least two week. You should be aiming for at least eight articles a month and submit them to article directories. Services such as Article Marketer are a great way to get your content delivered to hundreds of directories.

2. Commence a web 2 campaign. There are no shortage of web 2 sites to use but make sure you build your sites focusing on one keyword phrase. For example, if you are targeting the term inter-network marketing tips then that is what your site should be about.

3. Build a blog. Platforms such as Wordpress are excellent and blogs give you the opportunity to brand yourself. Branding is all too often overlooked by network marketers and the reason you want to do this is to provide valuable information to your readers so you can start earning their trust and respect as being someone who knows what they are talking about.

4. Comment on other people’s blogs. Look for blogs related to your topic and read the content. When you feel you have something worthwhile to contribute leave a comment with a link back to either your blog or a web 2 site.

5. Join respected forums dedicated to inter-network marketing tips and get involved. Forums allow you to leave a signature at the end of your post but don’t add it right away. Make a few posts and earn some respect within the forum before adding it.

Creating Audio Blog Posts With Public Domain Content

December 24, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

guinea pig at MilesAudio and video are a growing medium. They’re easily accessible, easy to share and for many a better learning option than reading pages of content. Additionally audio and video offer the benefit of allowing your audience to get to know you on a more personal level.

All of these benefits make a very real opportunity to create audio blog posts.

Finding Public Domain Audio

Librivox, http://librivox.org/, provides free audio books from the public domain. These audio books can be reused, reformatted, or re-purposed to create top notch audio content for your blogs.

For example, Aesop’s Fables is a popular collection of creative stories created by Greek storyteller with clever and personable animals as the main characters. Each story delivers a moral story. Remember The Tortoise and the Hare? The Boy Who Cried Wolf? The Fox and the Grapes?

Librivox has twelve volumes, that’s 284 fables, recorded and ready for you to use.

Hmmm…how to use them?

You could create downloadable audio files and market them to mother’s who want to raise their children with a strong moral foundation? You could market them to day care facilities.

You could deliver each fable as a podcast or create a cd bundle and sell the whole kit and caboodle as one wonderful product.

Repurpose, reformat or maintain the original?

The next question is whether you keep them exactly as they are or add your own personal touch? If you opt to add your own personal touch to the Librivox recordings there are many software options to help you.

You can of course hire a professional to break the fables and volumes up into predetermined segments. You could add music, your own personal thoughts before or after each fable or even sound effects.

If you’re more of a do-it-yourselfer then there are many wonderful software options including:

Audacity, http://audacity.sourceforge.net/, is an opensource, freeware, program for recording and editing sounds. It’s fairly intuitive to use and you can import and edit a number of sound files including MP3 which is the file type Librivox uses.

Adobe Soundbooth, Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium, offers a wide variety of features to make your audio and video editing truly professional. The software price is $199 however they also offer a free trial version.

Dexster Audio Editor, http://www.softdivshareware.com/, has received favorable reviews and runs $40 for the download and it also offers a free trial version.

Aesop’s Fables public domain audio books are a fantastic way to create a wonderful audio blog posts which will also stand the test of time. Parents everywhere have fond memories of Aesop’s Fables and would love to bring them home to their child in a new and modern and easy to use fashion.

10 Tips For Saving Time While Making Money Using Social Networking tips

December 22, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Social NetworkingSocial networking can be a huge boon to your overall profits. It opens you up to strategic partnerships and places you in the midst of your customers to build profitable relationships.

However, social networking can go awry and result in a net loss rather than the huge profits it promises.

Here are 10 time saving, money making networking marketing tips to build your public domain business.

  1. Budget/schedule your time. It’s very easy to spend hours upon hours chatting online with customers and industry associates. How much is your time worth? Whether your time is worth $20/hour or $200/hour presumably you cannot afford to spend your day on social networking. Determine how much time you can afford to spend, schedule it and stick to your schedule.
  2. Outsource. One way to maximize your time is to outsource your networking efforts. Hire someone to track specific sites and notify you when relevant threads pop up so you can respond to only those threads. This saves you valuable time sorting through all of the other irrelevant chit chat. You can also hire someone to actually post for you - a ghost poster/writer.
  3. Create a profile one site at a time. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by social networking websites. When first getting started, choose one site and make a real effort to become involved. Create a profile which helps brand your public domain business and commit to contributing on a regular basis. Once you’ve established yourself on one site, then you can add another.
  4. Test and track your results. Like any marketing tool it’s important to test and track your results to make sure your efforts are paying off.
  5. Create a unique URL for social marketing offers. To test and track most effectively, it helps to create a unique URL for each networking site. That way you can test and track specific promotions and how much a specific networking site actually contributes to your overall profits.
  6. Don’t forget your signature. The purpose of social networking is to build relationships and to of course drive traffic to your website. If your signature doesn’t allow for your URL how are you going to drive traffic to your public domain site? Participate in networking sites only if they enable you to actually drive traffic to your URL.
  7. Define your goals. Before you begin networking online, what do you want to get from your efforts? Establish goals. For example, I want to form a joint venture partnership or I want to increase traffic by 10%. Once you have concrete goals then you can create an action plan to achieve those goals. Without goals networking is merely a social exercise.
  8. Integrate it into your marketing strategy. Make social networking part of your marketing strategy. Include it in your plan and create special promotions and offers just for your social networking friends.
  9. Cross promote your social marketing efforts. Don’t network in a vacuum. Cross promote your social marketing efforts. For example if you have a newsletter include a “Visit me on Twitter” link. Likewise, let your social networking friends know about your newsletter.
  10. Choose your networking sites wisely. Network with customers on one site/industry associates on another. Some sites will result in more traffic and profits than others. Depending on your industry, goals, and target audience some sites will definitely make more sense than others. Make sure the website fits your criteria and that it allows you to post a signature complete with your URL.

In order use social networking for “making money” efforts to be successful they need to be approached strategically. Integrate your efforts into your marketing strategy and make a plan. Test and track your efforts and hone in on the sites which provide the best results.

It Takes More Than Writing Compelling Articles For Blog Success

December 20, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Whether you are looking to make your existing blogging site more distinctive, or are looking for more effective ways to monetize your site, the key to building and maintaining a site that will capture the interest and attention of the blogging community is by finding your niche.

Find and fill a unique need in a way that no other web site does. You’ll then be able to build a lasting readership among web surfers. Once you have discovered a niche, you will still have a lot to do, but finding your place in the constantly evolving blog world is the place to begin. It can be tough to distinguish your blogging web site from all of the others.

Every great blogging web site starts with a great idea, and you can’t build a profitable site that will last without one. There are many great sites aimed at today’s bloggers, and competition for the attention of this growing demographic is fierce.

To make your blogging web site one of a kind, you will need to offer something that no other site is currently offering….. or you will need to do the same thing that an already popular site does, but in a more relevant way.

One way to discover an ideal model for your blogging web site is to look at the sites that have successfully captured a blogging audience already.

Then determine how you can adapt some of these existing strategies.

You will also need to add a unique selling position to your project in order to stand apart from your competition.

The most successful websites that consistently do the best in today’s market are the sites that have the “personal touch”. The fiercely individual surfers who are bloggers are a demographic that responds best to personality, so consider how you can give your site a unique and attractive feeling by lending your own voice and sensibility to your site’s design and content.

Once you have a great idea for your site, have pinpointed a special niche that you are well equipped to fill, and have infused the site with personality, the next step is figuring out how to get the word out to bloggers. It takes more than writing compelling articles for blog success.

In the long run, a great idea just isn’t enough to propel your blogging web site to success. You will need to draft a smart and realistic marketing plan in order to draw readers to your site. Once you hook a blogger, your great content will keep them coming back, but it is vital to get that first glance or your site won’t have a chance.

And, once again, the key to any online success is TRAFFIC.

Without traffic, you might as well just be writing to your Mother (which at this time of year is also a good idea).

Always be aware that traffic doesn’t just happen; but is the result of some pretty serious marketing efforts on your part.

Oh sure, the search engines will find you….eventually; and you can get some traffic from paid advertising… usually very expensive traffic.

So what works? Quickly? Most effectively? And is the most affordable?

You may start by asking yourself, “How did I get to this blog?”

Start A Recipe Website With Public Domain and PLR

December 20, 2008 by Debra · Leave a Comment

Recipes can generate tons of traffic to your website. Whether you’re a blogger, own a cooking based website or something else, adding recipes is a great way to increase traffic to your site

Now, let’s imagine that you put a whole cookbook on your website for banana bread recipes. The term “moist banana bread recipe” is searched quite a bit, too. If you placed nothing but banana bread recipes on your website or blog and optimized it for that term, you would also generate traffic to your site for that term.

See where are we going with this? It’s simple: Recipes = Traffic

Once you get that traffic to your website, it’s up to you to generate whatever it is you wish to achieve. That could be sales, repeat visitors, subscribers, affiliates, anything really.

The absolute favorite around these parts is using Public Domain Cookbooks…

You can copy and paste recipes from public domain magazines and books (after they are scanned of course) right into your website.

Because they are copyright - free… no need to change anything! And chances are you won’t find this recipe (duplicated exactly) on the internet anywhere.

Not only can you find a ton of recipes… at little or no cost… but it’s really fun to search out some of those old fashioned - long lost recipes and serve them up to your customers. They will love you and your unique “finds”.

And… Some of these old cookbooks have the coolest graphics! Using these unique pictures and graphics can really set your cookbook or website apart from the rest.

PLR Recipes to Plump Up Your Content

Another great way to get recipes for your cookbook is to purchase PLR recipes. The great thing about PLR recipes is:

  • You don’t have to write the recipes yourself.
  • You don’t have to pay someone else to write them for you.
  • You can edit the recipes as you wish or leave them just like they are.
  • You can split them up; add them to other recipes, pretty much do whatever you’d like with them to create a product, freebie or something else.
  • You can get tons of recipes for cheap. Some PLR memberships sell them for less than $1 per recipe.

Yummy PLR is one of my favorite food related PLR publishers -

http://www.yummyplr.com/

This is a Private label rights (PLR) recipes and food articles membership site. They also sell individual PLR article and recipe packs.

Website and blog owners in the food, cooking or recipe niches will find a ton of articles waiting - especially useful for parent focused website and blog owners.

Pre-written content in the form of articles and recipes for website owners to use on their blogs, websites, newsletters, products, reports, and more.

The articles and recipes are well written and low priced. At this time a membership is only $12.95 per month and members receive 10 new articles and 30 new recipes each month. Individual packs sell for $10 each and include either 10 articles or 40 recipes.

Special PLR Deals At YummyPLR

It’s not uncommon for the owners to run special sales on the individual packs and most month’s bring at least one new pack for people to purchase.

Just recently, members have the option of having their content loaded to their websites by one of the owners virtual assistant business as well. This is great for those of us who understand the need for PLR, but don’t have the time to keep up with that much new content every month.

They provide suggested affiliate programs to compliment the articles and recipes as well.

Every month members receive an email with a link to download their new content, but in order to receive it you must sign up with your name and email address when you receive your first month’s content. No passwords or login links to remember.

As with other PLR sites, YummyPLR content is not just yours. They are however capping their membership at 500 members. The individual packs aren’t limited. However, anyone who uses PLR the way it should be realizes the key to using it properly is to rewrite it and make it your own. So, this drawback is not just for YummyPLR, but all PLR sites.

If your readers love to eat then they’ll love reading YummyPLR on your site! YummyPLR gives me quality content to share with my readers while saving me time (it’s available when I need it and the addition of the content management service makes it even better) and money (no ghostwriters to pay).
