Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity
Since I personally feel that I am not performing as productive as I want to… and many times I have seen other people feel that they are not performing on all cylinder’s - and we are all looking out for ways to increase productivity.
I began to analyzed the way I do the tasks at my job and found that I am not doing the things in a right way or rather doing them in a unproductive way.
Below are the tips I started to follow and amazingly they worked well and I achieved good results in very little time. I decided to share the same with my readers of the blog so that they can also be more productive as well. Start implementing these tips right now and you too will see great results. Then share your experiences here.
Plan: Everything starts with a plan. You need to plan your work if you want to be more productive and efficient. Take for example, constructing a bridge or a house.
Before you buy even single brick for its construction, you plan how to build it, research it, refine it and then execute it. Starting to do a task without a plan is nothing less than setting you up for a failure. You need to have a clear understanding of how you are going to do a task and how much time it is going to take to complete it.
Ready for Anything: 52 Productivity Principles for Work and Life
Organize: The biggest reason people fail is they fail to organize themselves. Once you set out to do a task, analyze and find what tools and material you need to complete a task.
This will help you not to waste time in finding the required information and tools when working on the task, thus helping you to become more productive. Invest time and money, if needed, to organize yourself and to complete the task efficiently. It is very important to follow the good time management principles to become more productive.
Gauge Your Capabilities: You need to find whether you have enough capability to complete a task before committing to something. Testing the capabilities you have will help you to understand the complexity of the task and thus helps you accurately estimate the time to complete it.
You can use this “Gauge” to plan to complete that task. If you do not have the right skills to do a task, hire someone else do it for you.
Set The Right Expectations: Setting the right expectations to all the parties involved and who are expecting something from you as a deliverable is important. Doing this will help others to know what they will get from you at the end of time allocated for a task to complete. This will avoid the surprises for the other people and for you too. In order to do this, agree upfront what you will deliver and how, before you even start the task.
Commit Yourself: Committing yourself for completing a task and avoiding the procrastination is very important to become successful. Do not get distracted with anyone or anything until either your task is completed or you have done it up to a certain stage, so that you can take a break and continue with it later. Also committing yourself to a task gives you sense of pride when you complete it.
Even if you fail to succeed in making it successful, there is sense of satisfaction that you have given your best shot to it. If failed to execute it successfully, see what went wrong, correct it and repeat the same process and success is bound to kiss you. Most people do not become more productive due to bad habit of procrastination. Avoid it and you will surely become more productive.
Collaborate and network: No one can do all things alone. At some point of time, you may need some help or cooperation from others to become more productive and successful. Benefit from collaboration and networking with others. Before you expect a help from others, you need to help others first. There goes a saying “As you sow, so shall you reap”, which means, in simple words, whatever you do to others it will happen same to you.
Execute: Just do it. I know this is a popular slogan of Nike. But I love it in true sense. Most people plan, organize and read about something they wanted to do, but never take that first step toward achieving their goals. Even if you have tons of knowledge, it is just waste if you do not take action.
Follow these tips and boost your productivity many times. Also check out 6 Simple But Highly Effective Ways To Attract Tons Of Traffic To Your Website Or Blog for free. And learn how to get free traffic to your sites and blogs.

Cashing In On Public Domain Movie Posters

Going to the movies is America’s favorite pastime. From the time this industry was born, people flocked to see their favorite celebrities on the big screen.
From - http://www.movieposters.com
What created the most excitement about these classic movies were the artists who designed bold and colorful posters to be displayed at the theatres announcing the films in advance.
Some classic poster images are now available to everyone on the public domain for their own use.
Sell Movie Poster Reproductions
You can start cashing in on Public Domain Movie Posters by offering to sell high quality reproductions of these posters in easy to frame sizes.
You can see examples of movie posters from several sites such as “Fesfilms“.
Depending on what the consumers want, you can sell them in any size from a desk size of 8×11 to a full size of 36 x 48.
Most people love the movie posters in a 11×17 size, which has become popular for displaying in offices, home entertainment rooms and college dorms.
You will want to create an online store with images of these posters so that customers can pick and choose and pay for what they want in one convenient spot. No need for you to keep any of the posters on hand, taking up valuable space. Be sure to find a reputable printer who can offer you a fast turnaround on orders and low cost direct shipping.
Public Domain Movie Poster Product Ideas:
Another way to make money is by selling other types of consumer items containing the images found on the movie posters.
With a little photo-shop magic, you can take parts of the images, such as the actors themselves, and display them on t-shirts, mugs, pins, calendars or bags.
Use your imagination and select popular actors such as Marilyn Monroe or James Dean.
Be sure to review online forums, websites for classic movie lovers and other sources to find out what is popular and what people are looking for.
Public Domain Altered Art
Another excellent way to make money from the movie posters found on the public domain is by selling what is known as “altered art”.
- Using the movie poster images, you can manipulate the images and create interesting works of art or jewelry.
- Think about shrinking down a group of horror movie posters into charm size and creating bracelets or pins for Halloween.
- Or find some classic pictures and posters of your favorite starlet and create a collage of images to be sold on a plate or a framed work.
You can even mesh different images together for a surreal affect.
Again, use your imagination to come up with anything as unique as these public domain movie posters are, and have fun making money too.

Easy Ways To Write Articles Fast
January 29, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
I have to write articles every day. Many articles. I have lots of newsletter subscribers, blogs and products that all need articles. How about you? So you need easy ways to write articles fast.
I’m going to share several of my fast article writing tips with you today. Some may be repeats of tips you’ve heard before… but the bottom line is - They work!
Tip #1. Use PLR and Public Domain to get all the content you need to “start” your article. By now you must know that you should not use PLR (private label rights) articles as is. Why would you? You can spend a few minutes changing the content into something new and fresh… Can’t You?
By using Public Domain copyright free material in conjunction with the PLR articles… you can quickly add new content to replace some of the PLR content… mix it all up… and out pops a 100% original article by you.
Easy!
Tip #2. Use a template. Yep… an article template is one of the neatest tricks for writing articles - Fast!
Open up your MS Word document (or other document formating software) and create a blank document.
Add in a place for:
- Title
- Subtitles
- Put in place markers for paragraphs - 2 or 3 under each subtitle
- Your Sig Line Area
Now every time you need to write an article… open up your template and start entering everything you can think of that should go in your article in the appropriate slots.
Once you have dumped everything on this template… it’s quick and easy to adjust everything and Boom! Your article is done.
Tip #3 Closely connected to the template method is to use the 4-step writing formula…
Step One: Write Out A List of Everything You Want To Share. That’s right, just write down everything you want to share in your article. I’m talking just start rambling on paper (or your computer screen). Everything you can think of that relates to the subject of your article. Just a list of “ideas” you want to share.
Step Two: Write Everything You Can Think Of For Each Entry. For each entry on your list (I.E. Each “idea”) write down everything you can think of. Explain each idea as thoroughly as you can. Share research, examples, case studies, quotes, tips, resources — everything you can find for each section.
Step Three: Organize Your Thoughts. Take everything and put it into a logical order. If it’s a tutorial, organize it chronologically in order of which steps come first. If it’s a “tips” article, categorize the tips. Put things in a logical order for your readers to be able to understand as they begin reading.
Step Four: Edit And Pad The Sections. Go back to each section and edit. Take out what doesn’t need to be in there. And add more content to the sections that need further explanation.
Congratulations. You just wrote an article. :o)

Free Guide to How To Create Maximum Exposure With Press Releases
January 29, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
Every time I release a new e-book I send out a press release to try and create immediate exposure, interest and traffic. Do you remember the story of the teenager who created the website ‘Million Dollar Home Page’ selling pixels for advertising space to pay for his college education?
As far as I know, the only advertising he did was to send out a single press release which was picked up and published by a national newspaper. This started the ball rolling and he made just under a million dollars in a couple months selling this new type of advertising space. You can see the power of press releases.
The other advantage is that as your ‘URL’ is included in each press release, you can instantly create hundreds of direct one way links which will give you a major boost in your search engines rankings as I’ll explain in the next chapter.
Writing a press release:
Writing a good press release can be surprisingly difficult and if you plan to do it yourself, make sure you look at a selection of similar ones in the same category. You can pay someone to do it for you but it will cost around $200 - $300, so do your research and have a go yourself.
Tips for writing a press release:
When writing your press release, it should be:
Concise: Editors receive hundreds of press releases a week and are more likely to read releases that are brief and to the point.
Well-written: A good way to ensure your press release ends up in the trash is: bad spelling, poor grammar and illogical claims.
Factual: Stick to logical claims and avoid statements of belief such as: we’re the best, the cheapest, etc.
Honest: Avoid padded quotes by you or your staff; even if they are experts; they come across as biased.
Questions to consider before you write a press release:
1. Who is the targeted audience of your press release?
2. What do you want readers to gain from your press release?
3. What sort of information does your press release provide?
4. What is the support or justification for the information in your press release?
5. What is the tone of your press release?
6. What do you want to accomplish with your press release?
Does the press release’s opening statement answer the following:
Who ?
What ?
When ?
Where ?
Why ?
How ?
A good example of a press release:
Lulu.com Has the Pleasure to Annouce the Publication of a
First Time Author of a Children’s Book Entitled “The Why of Stars”
Suzi, a seven-year-old girl with a strong imagination ponders the existence of stars. Her questions generate an appreciation of the relationships of herself, other people and the cosmos.
Lasqueti Isle, B.C. (PRWEB) September 23, 2006 — A humorous and endearing story of a seven-year-old girl’s initial awakening of self-realization. Suzi, the protagonist, questions her parents and grandfather about why there should be stars. It is an important question for she lives in the prairies where the night sky is such an overpowering presence. Their answers only encourage Suzi to ponder the nature of stars with great concentration culminating to a beautiful conclusion. This book was self published thru Lulu, (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.
The author, Rockie Brede, has done a reading of this story before an audience of a hundred plus people and it was well received. Mothers in their twenties and up to their seventies heartily approved of the story “The Why of Stars.”
Here is a quote from the lips of the protagonist herself. “But daddy you have told me what stars are. I want to know why we have stars. What is their purpose? Do people make money on them?”
This brilliant children’s story is available on www.lulu.com, www.amazon.ca. It may be previewed at no charge.
Accompanying the story are thirteen illustrations, one baring the cover of the book. The front cover is done in pencil crayon and the rest in aqua pencil. The illustrations are vibrant and pleasing to the eye.
The author, Rockie Brede, is a single man, a recluse that lives on a boat and his closest neighbours are seagulls. He has realized significant artistic euphoric states. Ideally he would like to pursue his art full time and hopefully really short out his brains.
Recommended companies:
A good company to consider for your first press release is ‘PR Web’, the choice of many internet marketers. It will cost you between $50 and $200.
There is also a FREE service which can be found at ‘PR Leap’. The exposure isn’t great but what I tend to do is to send out a press release with them each week about updates I’ve made to one of my websites. It always creates a couple of permanent back-links from quality websites.
My advice is to try a press release once and see what the results are. How to work from home
And learn how to get free traffic to your sites.

Get High Ranking Backlinks Strategy
January 28, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
When looking at some of the ways to get high ranking backlinks, such as, Link Development Backlinks Forums That Allow Backlinks are a very good strategy to get your website to the top ten of the search engines. The only thing is that you are probably not too excited with the workload. Who has the time to build a website, promote it, lay out and implement a marketing strategy, and write multiple articles?
Most people just don’t have that kind of time. So, it’s important to locate resources to help you build the backlinks that you need. This can take the form of hiring people on your team to help you build or re-write PLR articles or to help with article submission to different directories. Also, you might want to consider article submission software to help automate the process and reduce your workload.
Contract Others To write For You
Like software developers there are plenty of ghostwriters that are willing to write custom articles for you. You can find some at exquisitewriting.com, Elance.com, Guru.com or at RentAWriter.com. DigitalPoint.com also offers forums for people looking to hire writers. Craigslist.com can give you access to local writers in your area, if that’s important to you. You will have to buy the full rights in order to use them in the article directories.
In large bulk orders, you might be able to get away with $5-10 an article ranging within the 300 to 700 word range. While there are people willing to build articles at very low prices, you may find that the quality isn’t what you desire. It’s important that you get good ghostwriters that will create unique, quality, articles as you will eventually be claiming them as your own. They will represent your personal and professional reputation on the Web.
For high quality ghostwriters, you can expect to pay between $10 to $45 for articles ranging between 300 and 700 words, depending on the quantity you buy. The higher the volume you request, the more likely a ghostwriters will cut you a deal. Repeat business is also a way to establish a sound relationship with ghostwriters who can offer better prices to you.
You can do a search to locate article directories to submit your articles to, but of course ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, and articledashboard.com are some of the heavy weights you definitely want to use. There are hundreds more out there.
The guidelines may be different for each site. There also are companies that specialize in helping you to get your articles ready for submission to multiple sites. They will not only help proofread your articles, but help to tweak your resource box for the type of anchor text you prefer that will give your backlinks more weight. If you really don’t want to spend too much time doing these, you can pay someone else to do it for you.
When looking for good link development, backlinks that come from high PR sites are the best. Remember one thing, all backlinks are not the sme.
Being the Internet, of course, nothing is as straightforward as it seems. It’s simplistic to suggest that anything that is a backlink will enhance your site’s value or search engine ranking. Tech wizards invented the Internet, and many of those geek geniuses ended up in search engine companies.
So, even though a standard HTML URL is easy enough to understand (once you get the hang of it), search engine optimization is quite elements that can affect your search ranking, but it looks to be a strong criterion in how you rank, at least in the Google search engine.
Google has captured over 60% of the search enging market so I feel that is the main search engine to spend valuable time to optimize for. In “Backlinks: Marketing Gold” you can also learn how the context and positioning of a backlink has a great effect on how useful it is to improve your page rank in search engines. Of course, you will want to get backlinks from sites with good page rank, as they will be weighted more or considered more relevant by the search engines.
The higher up you are in the page listing (home page not necessarily being the best page), the more the backlink is weighted. You will learn why link referral pages are no longer as good a strategy as getting your link on relevant pages with few other backlinks. Also, it may surprise you to learn that where the link appears on the page (top, middle, and bottom) can also influence how strong a backlink it is perceived to be by the search engine-ranking algorithm.
There is of course more to why you need back links. Specifically “One Way” back links. Learn why you need link development, backlinks, and most importanly where and how to get good high PR backlinks without spending a dime. Visit: http://pleazz.com/craigs/Get_more_backlinks.htm

Combine PLR and PD For Unique Content
January 28, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
You know I love all things related to the Public Domain… but I have another passion. I really… I mean “no question about it” have always loved to use Private Label Rights eBooks and Articles !
But you must also know this… I rarely ever use PLR in it’s original state. Meaning… I change things up. Just like using Public Domain content in your writing… you should use it as a jumping off point!
I have several favorite companies that I purchase PLR articles and ebooks from.. but this is one of my favorites. They have been doing this so long and are so popular - they must be doing something right.
This marketing and publishing supplier membership is just packed with Private Label Rights article content on just about any niche subject you can think of…
plus… you can request articles to be written for your specific niche market.
It’s called InfoGoRound (IGR) - and it’s huge!
For instance… I used some PLR articles (with a twist) in a recent newsletter for one of my non-marketing niches. I changed the articles quickly by inserting some targeted keyword-rich Public Domain content.
By having all the Copyright Free content saved into folders on my computer… segmented by niche topics… I can quickly and easily find just what I need to “change up” any PLR content that comes my way.
InfoGoRound has been growing their treasure chest of unique and well written private label rights content covering some of the most popular topics in over 40 categories…
… and they don’t just have articles and ebooks - They have entire packages ready for you to use:
- Niche Specific Private Label Rights eBooks
- A Ready To Use Sales Letter
- Additional Website Graphics
- And - At least 50 Private Label Rights Niche Articles for website or newsletter content
The “articles section is really big and it keeps growing.
I use re-written (by adding in Public Domain content) PLR articles and ebooks in blog posts, newsletters, subscriber emails and small reports. Heck… I’ve even built entire products by using just these 2 key components.
With all the PLR that’s available in the InfoGoRound membership area… and all of the great Public Domain material I have found and saved up… I can get lot’s of work (I hate that word) done if a very short amount of time.
So you can see why I get so excited when I start talking about InfoGoRound…
You can check them out here: InfoGoRound.com

Using Public Domain Article Interviews To Add Credibility
January 27, 2009 by Debra · 2 Comments
Today is really an extension of last weeks article: Using Public Domain Articles As Teleseminar Content. I previously discussed the use of articles found in the public domain as content for a seminar… specifically one that is done online.
But what about those teleseminars that you want to do with an authority?
Using an interview with a professional can immediately add credibility to your website, but these can be somewhat difficult to come up with, depending on the field that your website relates to.
Many professionals know that their time is very valuable to them and will charge you a great deal. Others will not even speak to you unless you are involved with a reputable publication.
A solution to this problem is to find public domain interviews to put on your website. These interviews can be found in public domain magazines, which are quickly becoming a popular way to come up with website content.
There are countless public domain magazines out there that are free for you to use on your website and this includes interviews with industry professionals, so take a look for these items today and you will have a professional feel to your website in no time.
Another problem with using a professional is that you have no control over that person’s opinion.
If your professional’s ideologies differ from what you are attempting to accomplish, it makes the entire interview worthless to you.
When you use interviews from public domain magazines, however, you can pick and choose which articles you use, so you can be sure that the opinion in the article matches what you are trying to accomplish.
Public domain magazines are all over the place and by learning the laws of the country in which the magazine was copyrighted, you can quickly have access to more content that you will ever need. This will save you a great deal of money and get you the expert credibility that you need, so it is definitely something that should be taken advantage.
Since many of these interviews are found in high end public domain magazines that used some of the best professional writers of that era, they will also be very high in quality and will keep your readers highly interested.
Public domain articles are the next wave of internet content because getting content on a regular basis is far too difficult for many webmasters.
You can choose to place the interview in it’s written form on your website… But… a better idea would be to record yourself “speaking” the interview. Think about that for a second… What a cool idea. And it’s all original to you.
If you need content from a true professional, but do not have access to someone in that field, find yourself an interview in a public domain magazine and you will immediately have exactly what you need.

Use Quotes As Article Topic Ideas
It’s easy to get really good, easy to write article topic ideas if you head to your favorite book of quotations.
Fins a famous quote (or not so famous) and use it to start the ideas bubbling up in your brain. Everyone loves to read a great quote… especially if they are inspiring.
A good example of a great quote would be:
The wastebasket is a writer’s best friend. ~Isaac Bashevis Singer
…and…
The time to begin writing an article is when you have finished it to your satisfaction. By that time you begin to clearly and logically perceive what it is you really want to say. ~Mark Twain
Cool, huh?
Now… I think I need to write an article based on these two quotations. I can talk about Not pushing the Publish Button before we have read our article at least twice… checking to see if it makes sense.
And then… I will need to follow my own advice. *giggle*
Did you also notice that I actually used a quotations in this article? I used it to prove a point (so to speak).
Now… go find your favorite quotations and see how easy it is to inset them into your articles to add an extra punch!
…or maybe they will give you the jump start you need for article topic ideas.

5 Online Networking Success Tips
January 27, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
What is the key component in succeeding in online networking? That’s simple…it’s you. If this surprises you then it shouldn’t.
Did you know that most people who join an internet network marketing business don’t really think about the company or products, it’s the person who has been prospecting in that they’re are more concerned with.
You see, when a person is searching for an internet network marketing business they are generally looking for a solution to a problem.
More than likely it’s of a financial nature and their thoughts revolve around setting themselves up to be able to provide for themselves and their families in the years ahead. So when you make contact with a prospect the last thing they probably want to hear is how good a company is or how life changing the products are.
“What’s in it for me?” That’s what they will more than likely be thinking about and if you recognize this, then you are on the way to hitting a home run. In this article, we will give you a few tips on how and what you need to be doing and thinking of when a prospect first comes into your funnel.
- Don’t be tempted to hit prospects with a sales pitch first up. For some reason, they want to shove a network marketing comapny down the throats of their prospects and tell them how life changing the products are.
- Ask yourself this…what attracted you into your current home based business? People will eventually join you and not your company because it’s you they develop a relationship with and learn to trust. The company is simply the vehicle to take you both forward to your ultimate goals.
- When a prospect first responds to your marketing message you need to start selling yourself immediately. It’s time to prove to them that you are the right person for the job. And make no mistake, you are under scrutiny. It’s like going for a job interview and in actual fact, it’s not the prospect being scrutinized it’s you.
- You are being analyzed without realizing it. If you can demonstrate to your prospect you’re the right candidate then they will come back to you for more information. And giving value from the start is what counts.
- Training starts from the first contact. Give them advice on how to succeed in home based business. Point them to resources they can check out. Send them resources they can view, read or listen to. Consider them part of your team the moment they contact you and train them as if they were.

Boost Internet Advertising With Blogging
January 26, 2009 by Debra · Leave a Comment
It’s been many, many years since blogging first started.
It was thought to be nothing more than another one of those passing internet fads that wouldn’t last out the year.
It ended up being considered as one of the most addicting internet “fads” that spawned a whole lot of new internet marketing products. It has become way more than just an outlet for peoples emotions where they can blurt out whatever bugs them or whatever makes them feel elated. Savvy marketers have discovered that blogging is one of the best Internet marketing methods that won’t cost you a cent.
What exactly is blogging? Blog is the widely used term that refers to web log. Basically, a blog is an online journal. A blog could be set up to no cost at all, and can be used for just for the fun of it or for business reasons.
Blogging for your Internet business is one surefire way to boost the visibility of your products and services.
