About The Magazine

What Is “Pirates of the Public Domain Magazine”?

“Pirates of the Public Domain Magazine”, is the only digital magazine exploring ingeniously creative and outrageously lucrative ways to profit from the public domain! This new monthly magazine is dedicated to exploring unique and little known ways to repackage and republish public domain material for fun and profit.

Published monthly by Thought Rocket Publishing, “Pirates” is the brainchild of Logan Andrew, information publisher and co-author of such essential public domain training books as “Profiteering In The Public Domain”, “Public Domain Success Formula”, “The Copyright Chronicles”, “Hidden Treasures” and many more.

The idea for the subject matter of the magazine evolved from a dare that was presented to Logan one day in late December 2007 when a rather well-known so-called “Internet Marketing Guru” (who shall remain unnamed for now) challenged Logan to prove to him that “that old public domain crap” is useful for more than just “a quick way to crank out even crappier ebooks”.

Logan, (also known as “Captain Logan” by friends) being a voracious and passionate supporter of the public domain since he first  learned of it through a copyright attorney friend in 2001, promptly told this “guru” to “bite me” and proceeded to lock himself in his office for three days with pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard as it were).

The result of this feverish writing frenzy was nothing short of magical. What Logan produced was essentially a “holy grail” encyclopedia of all the creative and little realized ways one can use public domain material for profitable product creation other than simply producing ebooks and content websites.

There’s a whole world or public domain stuff out there folks - don’t limit your thinking to just public domain books. Anything that was copyrighted at one time has the potential to have fallen out of copyright and thus be in the public domain - not just books but ANY intellectual property.

It was my idea to split up Logan’s work and distribute it as a monthly magazine. It was Logan’s idea to make this information free. Never “challenge” or “dare” Logan to do anything folks - the guy is completely insane.

Madman or genious, one thing is certain - you will be delighted, you will be entertained, and most importantly of all you will be enlightened. Grab every copy of “Pirates of the Public Domain Magazine” and prepare to be blown away. The public domain ain’t just for ebooks anymore!

Once you’ve been on a romp through the public domain with Captain Logan and crew you’ll never look at it the same way again!
